Abstract: Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami (ITK) represents the Inuit of Canada on national issues. Founded in 1971 as Inuit Tapirisat of Canada. Over 55,000 Inuit live in 53 communities in Nunatsiavut (Labrador), Nunavik (Quebec), Nunavut, and the Inuvialuit Settlement Region (Northwest Territories). Activities include advocacy, health, environment and socio-economic research. ITK publishes Inuktitut Magazine and an annual report.
